Where we came from...
Artifishal Studios was formed in 1985, when Tim Lindsey and Stephen O’Connor began illustrating books and designing labels for the wine industry. By early 1986, Toby Hines had joined them and the business expanded into all areas of graphic design.
In 1987, Artifishal became an Australian Apple Macintosh pioneer by adopting the Apple Macintosh as its principle design and layout tool, producing the art and culture magazine Xpress on the Mac. Since that time, Artifishal has kept up with the latest technology, producing logos, corporate identities, brochures, books, catalogues and websites.
Our philosophy...
We believe that the client’s input is vital to a successful outcome and that innovation does not mean arrogance. Communicating with the client both at the concept stage and throughout the various stages of production is the key ingredient to success, and the main reason we have such a loyal client base.
Artifishal Studios is committed to being carbon-neutral and has undertaken a carbon-offset program though Greenfleet. We actively encourage our clients and suppliers to be aware of the issues surrounding environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forests.
Our clients...
Our client base is extremely varied and includes Intrepid Travel, Collette Tours, G Adventures, Council to Homeless Persons, AIRAH (The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air conditioning and Heating), Australian Society for Medical Research, Destination Phillip Island, Grampians Tourism, Daylesford Macedon Tourism and Ryman Healthcare.
Artifishal Studios has also worked for both State and Commonwealth government departments as well as various local government authorities.
What we do...
Artifishal Studios’ success is based on the fact that we deliver top quality work, at reasonable cost, on time. Our graphic design service is complete. We specialise in the design of magazines, packaging, books, brochures, newsletters, e-newsletters, copy writing, corporate identity, special-event promotions, pull-up banners, point-of-sale displays, illustration and cartooning.
Printing (both large and small runs) is a specialty and we are experts at matching the right print job with the right press, wherever is it. We specialise in offshore printing, often saving our clients up to 40% on their printing costs, but never sacrificing quality. Whether it’s web-offset, sheet-fed, digital or large format, we are the print and production management experts.
We are also signage experts, both in manufacturing and installation.
